Creating your own Etsy Business

Honestly you might make more money creating a video on how to successfully set up and sell on Etsy than selling your actual product. Cynical much? Yes, but only a tad. Etsy is a great option if you have an existing shop, small business, or stock to sell. If you don't, then you are creating digital products for download.

Are you wondering if Etsy can be your full time job? There are people on Etsy able to make a full time income of it, even a small one, but they are few and far between.

However, it's not uncommon for sellers to make between 10 and $100 a week as they are getting started. That being said, it's not uncommon to see sellers making $3,000 dollars per month or more if they launched several products in their niche.

Etsy is a thriving marketplace for digital downloads, offering a wide range of digital products like printables, graphics, e-books, and more. Selling digital downloads on Etsy is a convenient way for entrepreneurs, creatives, and small business owners to reach a global audience with their work.

Personally, I have stationary as digital downloads. Here are the steps after you create your Etsy shop:
1. Create your digital product and save it as .PDFs (sample)
2. Open Canva (free) and create a series of images to upload to Etsy.
3. Still in Canva, search for a nice Pinterest template to promote your Etsy product.
4. Create a Business Pinterest account (free) and start creating pins using the template from Canva. Be sure to include the link to your Etsy page's product.
5. Share from your Pinterest board to your social media. Add your Pinterest & Etsy in your bio link.

Tips:
Start small & promote as much as you can.
Add more Digital Downloads each week to build your item list.
Don't know where to begin? Think of seasonal items. Holiday cards, birthday certificates, funny t-shirt transfers, even a seamless cellphone background. Start searching, then start creating.
